It is always such an honor to be invited into a home to take photos of a brand new baby. This session is my second of my newest offering – Fresh48 – where the session happens within the first 48 hours after birth. Little Quinn was just two days new! He was welcomed by big brothers and a big sister with lots of smiles and enthusiasm. I am sure in no time he will have them all wrapped around his little fingers!

Just a quick post of the sweet, sweet little ones I had the pleasure of photographing yesterday. They were only 6 days old and so little and perfect little sleepers. And aren’t those hats the mama bought for them the cutest!

I am so excited to not only announce but SHOW my newest offering – Fresh48 sessions. A Fresh48 session is for those who do not want the entire birth photographed or just want high-quality, documentary style photography of their new baby. This session happens during daytime hours within the first 48 hours of birth. Just like a birth session, it’s done documentary style with me coming to wherever you are – be it the hospital, birth center or your home. Fresh48 sessions last about an hour and include a disc of 20+ fully edited high-resolution images on a disc with print rights as well as a 5×7 proof of each image.

Here is a session I shot just two weeks ago for a family who had a lovely home birth just 24 hours before the shoot. I love the excitement the two older brothers had when they got home and were reunited with their new little brother!

This beautiful little one came to my in-home studio with her mom and grandma for her shoot. She was a total sweetie, sleeping like a champ as I moved her around. She even gave us a couple smiles! Gotta love that!

One thing about St. Olaf – and all of Northfield really – is that the fall colors are spectacular. So when old college friends of mine needed new family portraits, I jumped at the chance to go back to this beautiful college town for a family photo shoot.

We couldn’t have had better weather. It was nice and overcast. We started near Carlton college and then worked our way to St. Olaf, running and playing in the fields then dodging college students for a picture in front of our old dorm. After the shoot we were off to a yummy dinner & ice cream treat at Hogan Brothers. Just a great day full of good memories and friends.

Last month I had the pleasure of photographing these little newborn girls and their big sister. These little ones were amazing, sleeping the entire session! Seeing as it was my first newborn twins session, perhaps they were taking it easy on me . . . Special thanks to Tami of Tami Tripp Photography for helping me with this session.
