In home family newborn sessions are a great way to add more of a family’s personality into the photos, simply because they are in their own space. That’s how it was this chilly winter day with Baby Jo and her family welcomed me in to their home to captured their connection and love.
How dashing does Louis look! He was gracious enough to allow his little sister in on a couple of pics too.
Lifestyle photography is a bit like coming over for coffee…with my camera. So fun to just hang out and capture life as it looks for the August and his family right now. Plus their home has some great colors!
By the way – if this family looks familiar, it is because both of their kids have done my baby plan. I have gotten to see them both at the newborn stage and at 6-months. Can’t wait for July to come to see them again when August turns one.
I met Nicole, the amazing doula behind Rock Your Birth, several years ago when she was the doula for one of my birth photography clients. How exciting was it to be asked to capture the birth of her third child. The birth was at home in the early morning with midwives, doulas and family present. Welcome sweet little one!
This lovely little one came into the studio with her parents. She did so well in the beginning that I think we were all a little surprised when she wouldn’t settle down for the second half of the session. No worries though; her parents came back the next day with a much happier little one and we got adorable pictures of the three of them!
Visiting a new family to watch as they get to know each other in those first days is so fun. Sweet Genevieve was being snuggled by her parents and admired by her extended family.
I joined Alice and her family by the fire for this cozy in home family session. No better excuse to cuddle up and share the love!
We spent a fun hour together at one of the nature centers here in the Twin Cities. The natural, muted background colors are the perfect contrast to this family’s fun energy and connection. So excited to watch this family of three become a family of four soon!
