Any day now I am going to get a call letting me know baby “C” is on his way. Can’t wait to be there for his birth! I am pulling for a Memorial Day birth. . .

I love grabbing a portrait of mom (or mom-to-be) when I can. They are always taking pictures of others. . . they should have a beautiful picture of themselves!

Having just had Easter, the idea of “new life” is fresh in my mind. What better way to photographically represent the promise of new life than with a maternity session? I met the mom-to-be at my daughter’s school (she is one of my daughter’s teachers).  She looked so great – can you believe she is just 3 weeks away from her baby’s due date?!?! – I knew she would be a wonderful maternity model.

To sum up this session in one word: COLD. It snowed 3-inches the day before the session. I even called to ask if she was still up for having the session outside – and to her credit, she was. And I am so glad. We were able to get some great images despite the wind and cold. Here’s a sneak peek!
