Questions about Hanna Andersson
The best source of information about Hanna Andersson clothing
is, of course, the Hanna Andersson website at
www.hannaandersson.com. But here's a size chart for
convenience and a few lesser-known tidbits.
What size is my Hanna Andersson
item?[Back to
Top]
Hannas run in cm with approximate age/height/weight ranges,
as follows:
Are there discount codes available for
the Hanna website?[Back
to Top]
There were several 20% off codes out last year, and one came
out in August 2005 that expired late September. None are
known of right now. The BIG SALE is twice a year, the Winter
sale usually begins around December 21st and the Summer sale
around the second week of June.
What if I want a Hanna item that's no
longer on the website?[Back to Top]
If it's recent and you have the catalog featuring that item,
plug the item number into the search box at the top left of
any Hanna Andersson website page. If it's still available, it
will come up, and often, if it is still available, it's
discounted! It is worth bookmarking the page if the item is
available but not in the size you need, keep checking back.
We've had a very good suggestion to add catalog item numbers
to our recent items pictured on the site - when time permits,
we will start adding them to newer items. Other than that,
try eBay! There are a lot of people selling both new and used
Hanna items at great prices.
What is a "special make" Hanna
item?[Back to
Top]
Hanna "special make" items are sometimes seen at the Hanna
outlet stores. They are clothing made from leftover fabric
from past seasons. While they have the same quality fabric
and same print as the regular catalog or store items, they
often feature a simpler construction and/or a different cut.
They can be identified by "sp mk" preceding the description
on the hang tag. While they are a great opportunity to own
Hanna at a bargain price, eBay buyers should be aware of what
they are buying and ask any necessary questions of the
seller. A seller should disclose whether an item is a
"special make" but may not know, or may omit the fact when
listing. Compare these two dresses, Top 2 photos show the
catalog/store A Thousand Flowers dress; Bottom 2 photos show
a "special make" dress in the Thousand Flowers fabric.
What is that piece of twill tape sewn on
the side seam of my Hanna item?[Back to Top]
It's a place to write your child's name. To date, we have
never come across a Hanna with a child's name on that tag! In
2004, Hanna tried out a long, solid red label that had a
place to write your child's name on the back. It was
short-lived (reportedly because customers complained it was
scratchy) and they've returned to a large white tag.
What does my clipped, cut, or marked
Hanna label mean?[Back
to Top]
Reportedly, the variously defaced tags are decoded as
follows:
Questions about hannafannas.com
Who runs this site?[Back to Top]
We are not contacts for, representative of, or in any other
way affiliated with the Hanna Andersson company. We're just
folks who really love the clothes and are grateful for well
made, super cute products for our kids.
Why?[Back to Top]
Knowing the style and print names for your Hanna items will
help you - and me - find the items we need from the hundreds
of Hanna clothing items available on eBay and other auction
sites (as well as from the company itself) as well as help
direct buyers to your auction when you've got something to
sell. We provide color name information on each line ID page
so you can know which basics will match which lines, which is
really useful as Hanna repeats many colors year after
year.
If I'm reselling an item on eBay, do I
really need a print and style name?[Back to Top]
If it's more than a few years old, the print name has
probably been forgotten by anyone who cared about it. Even
with current lines, some are sought after by names more than
others. For sought-after current lines, though, a print name
can really increase traffic to your auction! There are lots
of people who want, for example, Jewel Box tights to go with
the dress they got last year, or who want the Summer House
dress now that they have the cardigan. Check out our Print IDs page for some help!
As styles go, some have no name but Hanna offers many of the
popular styles year after year, and it is worth knowing the
style name for many of them: the famous Playdress/Daydress
sets, Long and Short Johns, Baby Zippers, Wiggle Pants,
Swedish sweats, tights and clogs, the list goes on. Check out
our Style IDs page for some help!
Why isn't the item I have included on
this site?[Back to
Top]
Hanna has been around 25+ years, so we aren't even going to
attempt to show every print and style name. We'd like to keep
this site a useful tool by not including print IDs older than
2000. See our tag library to determine if your item is
too old to be included on our site. In addition, this site
is limited to ID of children's Hanna items.
Where do you get the images used on
this site? Should I send you my pictures?[Back to Top]
None of our images are taken from the Hanna Andersson website
or catalog. We rely on our own extensive wardrobe and
permissions from other Hanna fans like you. Don't be
surprised if you get an email from me asking if I can use
your eBay auction photo! We will never use them without your
permission.
How can I help
hannafannas?[Back to
Top]

via Paypal on our home page.
Can I use images from this site for my
auctions?[Back to
Top]

original owners and are used by us with permission. You may
