I joined Alice and her family by the fire for this cozy in home family session. No better excuse to cuddle up and share the love!
Sweaters and cuddles galore, we had a great time at the park capturing this family’s special connection. And such a handsome pup too!
Baby Eden slept like a champ throughout her in studio newborn session. I love getting to take my time capturing many different poses and setups, and it’s not always the case that I can! The pinks and purples are so girly and dreamy, swoooooon.
After witnessing the beautiful home birth of their daughter the week before, I had the privilege of seeing this family again to take newborn pictures. The session was at their home. Big brother was so excited about his new sister – it was sweet to see!
With pleasure I got to work with baby Cameron and his parents in their home. As you can see he was a super sleeper for me. He even gave me the biggest smile. Welcome sweet one!
Baby William’s mom was so sweet in writing me at 39 weeks wanting a maternity session. She joked it was a nesting thing! Sadly I was about to board a plane to go to a workshop to sharpen my skills in newborn posing/photography followed by a family vacation. By the time I got back, this little one was almost two weeks old, so I had the pleasure of taking his newborn photos.
I still remember the morning. It was cold and slick from a snowfall. I questioned why it was that I do on location newborn shoots as I lugged all my gear up the steps to their home. Being in the city, in St. Paul, the plows hadn’t quite been through to clear everything away.
However once inside I was reminded why I do what I do. Baby William was all snuggled up with his mom. It was nice and toasty in the house – perfect for a newborn shoot. Grandma was there too loving on her new grandson. Having just returned from my workshop, I got to use my new skills. I simply love the results!
I was so hoping to be at this little girl’s birth. When her mom and I talked about it, I knew I was scheduled for vacation a couple days after she would hit week 42. However this was her second child and what was the chance of her lasting past week 42? Well, I guess the chance was good because that is actually what happened. So rather than birth pictures, I got to meet baby Philomena, a.k.a Poppy, a little over a week after she was born to do newborn pictures.
My daughter and I have been witness to our favorite Occupational Therapist’s pregnancy the past nine months. We were thrilled when we heard that baby Jameson made his entrance! Here are a few “peeks” of our session together.
Not only did I get to meet Magnus at this shoot, but also his “big sister” Belle. She was keenly interested in everything I was doing. It was too funny not to snap a couple of her as well as the baby. And what about the Sock Monkey set – isn’t it the cutest? M’s mama found it for him on Etsy.
