Just a quick post today. I really love to visit with birth clients sometime after the birth. I love seeing how much baby has grown and being able to touch base about the birth. I got to do this the other day with baby Marcel, who is almost 6 weeks old already, and his parents. One thing that is nice about taking pictures of a baby who is a little older is that they are smiling. Love this one I caught of Marcel giving his mama a big one!
After having to reschedule Easton’s 9-month shoot due to rain, I was so happy yesterday evening was such perfect weather for pictures. Looking at these now I am struck. . . I remember when big sister was in her mama’s belly. Where does the time go?
When I first heard I was going to be photographing triplets – I just didn’t even know what to think. It is hard enough sometimes getting one child to cooperate at a photography shoot, not to mention three under the age of one! However this family couldn’t have been any nicer or more relaxed. And the babies – well they were as cute as could be as so cooperative. . . until the end! =)
Many thanks to this wonderful family for having me come and photograph their special little ones!
Amber and her family were one of my first clients. She was pregnant back then with her first. Now here she is with her two kids. . . Here’s a sneak peek at our session:
It has been so fun to watch this family grow. My first session with the mom was when she was pregnant with her daughter. Now here they are with two kids!
Special thanks to this awesome family who were gracious and flexible about rescheduling due to Baby Simpson’s birth.
Had a lovely session this morning with four great kiddos. One had super powers, the other was an amazing jumper, yet another was so cooperative and finally the little guy – well I think he had had better days but we still got some adorable pictures! Here’s a sneak peek . . .
I am doing a shoot tomorrow and part of it will be in the “amber room” at the Guthrie. It reminded me that I had been there once before with some fellow photographers and the boy. I hadn’t blogged these pictures yet, so I thought it was a good time to. He looks so much smaller/younger in these pictures yet I can see he was full of wonder and determination. It is amazing to think it was just about six months ago. . . As a side note – the Metrodome ceiling had just collapsed, which you can see in the picture below.
I know your birthday was over a week ago, but mommy has been tied up getting your sisters ready for school. Happy Birthday to my sweet baby boy. I had been told that raising a boy would be different from the girls and special in its own way. . . how true that statement is. I treasure your “boy” energy and what it brings to to house full of girls. I love you monkey!
Where does the time go? I can’t believe it has already been almost two month since I was at the hospital to photography this little guy’s first breath.
Time does fly. . . that is why I take pictures – it gives me the power to stop time even if just for a few moments. Those moments (pardon the cliche) DO last a lifetime. My daughters LOVE looking at the albums I have created of them. And every time we look at them, it triggers memories of funny happenings and stories I share with them. This would not happen without the pictures.
So my request – if you haven’t taken a picture of your kids this week – go do it. Even it is it just a snap with your cell phone – capture them today, as they are. Create that memory today for you and for your children.
BWT – here is a sneak peek of my little buddy and his beautiful family:
